1. News Reporting/Writing.
This can take a number of different forms---spot or breaking news, enterprise reporting, general news reporting, government reporting, or investigative reporting. The stories should show a reporter's understanding of the subject, her ore his ability to effectively communicate the nuts and bolts of the story and its relevance to the reader, and be clearly and concisely written.
An entry will consist of up to three separate pieces. A piece is defined as a series of stories on a given subject or person, or a package of stories on a given subject published on the same day. WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
